Welcome to Our Junior Speech Tournament:
We are delighted to introduce the Junior Speech Tournament for students aged 8-11 years old as of October 1, 2023.
Event Details:
Eligibility: Open to students aged 8-11 as of October 1, 2023.
Event Categories: Junior Platform, Junior Interp, Junior Impromptu
Junior Platform Events: Original Oratory, Persuasive.
Junior Interp Events: Open Interp, Humorous Interp, Dramatic Interp, Duo Interp.
Special Note Regarding Duo: If you would like to participate in duo event, please contact the registrar once you've completed the registration.
Provide the full names of both duo partners. ([email protected]).
All junior interps will compete in one room.
Event Rules:
Junior Platform: These events will use the same rules as those used in the varsity Stoa events, except that the time limit will be 6 minutes for all events.
Junior Interp: These events will use the same rules as those used in the varsity Stoa events, except that the time limit will be 6 minutes for all events.
Junior Impromptu: The rules for this event are the same as for the varsity event, except that the speech time limit is 4 minutes and the prep time is 2 minutes.
