Community Judge Information

Thank you for your willingness to volunteer in the Central Valley Challenge as a judge. We hope you are encouraged by what you see.

To register for judging, please use the tab at the top of the page and follow the prompts. If a competitor has invited you, we ask that you indicate that by typing their name in the conflict box so as to keep the integrity of the judging pool pure.

On the day of the tournament, please follow the signs for Community Judge Check-In table. You will then be directed to your orientation room. You should allow 3 to 3 1/2 hours to judge and complete your ballots.

After you arrive, there will be a 30 minute training session to be held 45 minutes before your scheduled round. Please allow 30-45 minutes after the round to fill out your ballot and enjoy refreshments prepared for you. Due to time constraints, it is not feasible to judge 2 rounds consecutively. However, judging every other round is easily done.

Judge Qualifications: Judges are considered non-participants who are 18 years or older and have graduated from high school. All judges must be in good physical and mental health.

When you arrive at the Judge Orientation forty-five minutes before the beginning of your round, you will be given a good overview of the event you will be judging. Some of you might like a little bit of prep even before then. The link below will allow you to review the slides used in the judge orientation session:

Please click on the Judge Registration link at the top of this page to register. You will be able to choose which round(s) you would like to judge.

Note: It is very important that you please provide us with a telephone number where we can reach you on the day of the tournament in case there are any last minute changes/emergency.

Any questions, please email the tournament director at [email protected].

Thank you for your time.
